Application and characteristics: Bergge Leben Holz is a water-dispersible acrylic glaze with a neutral odor for high-quality decorative finishing and wood protection. For indoor and outdoor use. Contains a broad-spectrum biocide that protects against common fungi, mold, and bacteria, making it safe for residential use. It penetrates deeply into the wood, creating a protective film that increases mechanical strength and enhances the natural beauty and texture of the wood. It protects wood surfaces from atmospheric influences and UV rays (prevents fading), provides effective protection against wood aging, and allows the wood to breathe. Renewal is not required for approximately 7 years.
Composition: Acrylic dispersion, wax, iron-oxidizing pigments (for colored wood), auxiliary substances, water.
Surface preparation: The wood must be uniformly prepared, dry, sound, and free of grease, dust, chalk, and lime. Carefully remove old varnish and oil coatings. Do not apply acrylic products to surfaces previously treated with drying oil or fire-retardant. For outdoor use, be sure to prime the surface with Bergge Verdex wood primer.
Application Method: During storage, the material may separate, but this is not a sign of product deterioration. Stir thoroughly before application. When painting highly absorbent surfaces indoors, dilute with water up to 10% for the first coat, then apply undiluted. The material can be applied with a roller, brush, or spray gun. For outdoor use, apply at least 3 coats of glaze to the primed surface. Be sure to conduct a test application of the glaze to determine the exact color of the coating, as it may vary depending on the type of wood and the degree of dilution. When applying Leben Holz, use material from the same batch on a single surface. If material from different batches is available, mix it together in the amount required for a single surface (from corner to corner). When applying, avoid exposure to wind, rain, and direct sunlight.
Drying time: A second coat of glaze can be applied after 2-4 hours. Complete drying occurs within 12 hours. Drying time depends on air temperature and humidity. These drying times are based on temperatures of 0°C to 20°C and a relative humidity of no more than 60%.
Temperature: Apply when the ambient temperature and work surface are no lower than 7°C and no higher than 30°C.
Gloss: Silky-gloss.
Coverage: 1 liter per 7-12 m² of a single coat, depending on the application method and the wood.
Storage: Store in a tightly sealed container at a temperature of at least 7°C, in a dry, cool place. Protect from frost! The guaranteed shelf life is 2 years. The manufacturing date is indicated on the packaging.
Precautions: Do not flush into drains or waterways; dispose of as household waste. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water.
