Description

Bergge HydroLock is a special silicone paint with pronounced water-repellent properties. Thanks to its highly hydrophobic coating, water doesn't linger on the surface but rolls off instantly, carrying away dust and dirt. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

This paint is formulated with silicone resin and styrene acrylic dispersion to form a highly durable film with minimal adhesion to moisture and dirt. The coating is resistant to rain, UV radiation, washing, and abrasion. It is an ideal solution for bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and building facades, as well as for insulation systems, including mineral wool.

Suitable for application on any mineral substrate—concrete, brick, plaster, cement, gypsum, putty, or aerated concrete. Thanks to its high vapor permeability, the paint can even be applied to fresh plaster (14 days after application).

❗ Do not apply to horizontal roofing surfaces.

Composition

Styrene-acrylic dispersion, titanium dioxide, silicone resin, mineral fillers, water, functional additives.

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be strong, dry, level, and free of dust, grease, limescale, and loose particles. Permissible residual moisture content is up to 3%. Before painting, be sure to apply Bergge Grund SX silicone primer for better adhesion.

Application Method

Mix the material thoroughly before use (slight separation is possible, but this does not affect quality).
Apply the paint with a roller, brush, or spray in two coats.

The first coat can be thinned with water up to 10%.

Apply the second coat without dilution.
Work continuously, using the "wet on wet" method, on one surface (from corner to corner). To achieve a uniform color, use paint from the same batch or pre-mix materials from different batches.

Temperature for painting and drying: from +7°C to +30°C.

Drying time

A second coat can be applied after approximately 12 hours at a temperature of +20°C and 65% humidity. Full curing of the coating occurs after 28 days.

Consumption

On average, 1 liter per 10–12 m² per coat, depending on the surface type and application method.
