Bergge Travertino decorative stone-effect plaster is a ready-to-use, specially formulated filling plaster for interior decorative work, based on sand and crushed, selected marble. This smooth, easy-to-apply mixture allows you to recreate the effect of natural stone using specialized techniques, highlighting its finest patterns.

The most important characteristic of this plaster is its ability to firmly adhere to the substrate, forming a coherent whole. Travertine plaster prevents the formation of mold and bacteria. It has a low odor, is non-flammable, and is safe for humans and the environment.
Substrate Preparation:
Apply to a completely dry and cured substrate. New plaster must be cured for at least 30 days to ensure complete carbonation. Thoroughly clean the surface to remove any loose particles.
Application Method:
Apply Bergge Travertino with a trowel to a thickness of approximately 1.5 - 2.0 mm. Immediately afterward, work the Bergge Travertino with a tampon to create uneven veining. In other areas, use the same tool to tampon the surface to create a rippled surface. Once the surface begins to dry, go over it with a trowel, pressing the raised ripples into the material. Once the material has dried, work the surface again with a trowel, applying more pressure until the surface becomes smooth with pronounced veining, reproducing the effect of real travertine stone.
To replicate the veining found in natural stone ("pointing"), after smoothing the material with the edge of a small trowel or a screwdriver, make a point to the desired dimensions. Use a plank to create straight lines. Wait at least 24 hours before applying the finishing coat.
Finish:
To protect and maintain the natural effect of TRAVERTINO, apply one coat of colorless, ready-to-use BERGGE LASUR with a brush.
Consumption: 2 kg/m2
Application temperature: +10°C to +36°C (with a relative humidity of no more than 80%)
Drying time: 30 days (at a temperature of 20°C with a relative humidity of 75%)

CAUTION
Protect the surface from rain for the first 48-72 hours after application. If the product is excessively thin, a thickener can be added to the material immediately before use and mixed with a drill.
